It has been a while since I have mentioned Twellow, so I thought I would give an update on new features that have been added to the directory of Twitter users.
- Extended Bio - Even though you have a main bio of 256 characters, a bigger bio has been added to your profile which has a capacity of 2000 characters. This provides you with a lot more space to be descriptive on your Twellow account.
- Twellow Pulse - This is a place where you can view in real time what is being tweeted with regard to the categories that you belong to in an expand/collapse format.
You may select up to 20 categories to view the pulse of. This is a great way to view trends within your subscribed categories.
- Twellow Maps - This feature was integrated for you to to view where other Twellow/Twitter users are located. All you have to do is, when you are searching for someone, just click the map icon (
) next to the Location field on the right-hand column of the search results, and a map will display their specified geographic location.
Twellow is an awesome directory of people from a B2B standpoint, and I highly recommend that you give it a try!

If you haven’t heard about Twellow yet, go ahead and check out the site at twellow.com. It’s a great little site designed to bring some logical sense to all the chatter going on about Twitter, the micro-blogging website.
Unlike many of the third-party Twitter services on the web which aim to analyze the “tweets” coming out of Twitter, Twellow analyzes the biographical data that Twitter users provide. Twellow then uses this data to categorize people into various fields of interest in a yellow pages-type directory.
Some of the features that Twellow offers include the following:
- Ability to view what people are saying in various categories
- Add your listing if you aren’t already in Twellow
- Modify your listing to place yourself precisely in the categories you know you belong in, and remove yourself from those you don’t
- Add your various social profile links to your profile to enhance your Twellow listing
To learn more about Twellow, there is also a blog at blog.twellow.com that lists some of the recently added features as well as addressing a few of the frequently asked questions. So give it a try. We’re sure you’ll find it interesting as many other Twitter users have.
If you have any questions or comments regarding Twellow, feel free to ask them on our iEntry Directory Portal Forum in the Twellow.com subforum under the Social Media Directories forum category.
Enjoy!
I recently received a question from a user asking if they can start receiving the iEntry Directory Portal as a newsletter, and I was wanting to know if anyone else would like these posts in newsletter format as well?
I have posted a poll inside a post titled ‘Newsletter for iEntry Directory Portal Blog’ within the Forum Suggestions category on the iEntry Directory Portal Forum. The poll will by tallied on Friday, August 8th, 2008.
Please feel free to leave any feedback regarding this decision, as your feedback is important to us, and will be taken into consideration.
Thank you for your interest in the iEntry Directory Portal. Happy surfing! ![]()
